Satin Chiffon (made in the UK).
Satin is a weave that typically has a glossy surface. The satin weave is characterized by four or more fill or weft yarns floating over a warp yarn or vice versa, four warp yarns floating over a single weft yarn. A satin fabric tends to have a high luster due to the high number of floats on the fabric. This fabric is very light and floats in the air.
Chiffon is a lightweight, balanced plain-woven sheer fabric woven of alternate S and Z-twist crepe (high-twist) yarns. The twist in the crepe yarns puckers the fabric slightly in both directions after weaving, giving it some stretch and a slightly rough feel.

Design inspiration

This scarf design is based upon an illustration I drew many years ago in my 20's of the rhododendrons in my parents garden. There was a full palette of colours and the flower shapes were so engaging that I took their base forms and created a range of minibeasts that adopted the shapes the stamens and petal structure. The original drawing was in black and white using dip pens. I have taken these illustrations and redesigned them digitally in the form you see in this scarf design. I can upon request create any color way you may like upon request and add to the range.
