Crepe de Chine Silk Silk (made in the UK).
Crêpe or crape (from the Fr. crêpe) is a silk, wool, or synthetic fiber fabric with a distinctively crisp, crimped appearance. The term crape typically refers to a form of the fabric associated specifically with mourning, also historically called crespe or crisp. This fabric is one of the more luxurious of the silks and is great for making nicer, higher end clothing and scarves.

Design inspiration
This scarf design is based upon a unique piece of art created in Japanese ink and watecolour by William Rowsell on traditional Japanese handmade paper. The image was inspired by the Alliums in my garden. If you look close up to them you begin to see the complexity of form. They look amazing when you silhouette them against the sun.
